Where Can I Get More Information?

To get more information on investing in commodities we recommend that you first try our directory. The directory will take you to major exchanges all over the world, investment magazines, and trading organizations. Check back with the directory often. We add new links to our sight all the time, and many organizations update their pages almost every day.

You may also want to try looking at your local library or bookstore.   Libraries have mountains of books, journals, and periodicals devoted to providing you with information on commodities investing.  Get started by asking your librarian for help or just looking up commodities in the card catalog or on-line catalog service.

If you are looking for more personal help, you may want to try a full-service broker. Full-service brokers are not the same as discount brokers who primarily take your trade orders. See our Looking for a Broker page and find out What is the difference between a full-service and discount broker?  Full-service brokers are happy to take some time to teach you about the market, even if you are not a customer. Our brokers page has information on the specialties of numerous brokers. We also provide you with the phone numbers of brokers who regularly work with our students. However, we recommend that you not call them during trading hours. This is the busiest time of the day for them, and they may not have the time to give you they are full attention. If you do not know what trading hours are this is a great opportunity for you to do a little investigating and learning on your own. Try looking up some of the major exchanges on the links page.

Cable TV is also a great resource for investment information.   CNBC is an all-business, all the time news station available on most cable or satellite systems.  CNBC regularly broadcasts up-to-the-minute reports on the status of markets around the world, and offers programs with expert advice on trading, investments, and strategies.

If all of this information seems a bit overwhelming, remember that our courses are organized to teach you how to make your money work for you every step of the way. We take you from the basics of chart reading and how to get started to more advanced trading strategies that take advantage of quirks in the market that appear every year.
